Can’t you wait for your trip to Paris and finally spot the Eiffel Tower in real? Then make sure to read about the best instagrammable spots in Paris and especially of the Eiffel tower in this blog post. Don’t fall into the trap of going to Trocadero, the hill from where all tourists in Paris want to see the Eiffel tower. Why? Because all tourists in Paris want to see the Eiffel Tower from there. Going to the metro station closest to the Eiffel tower like Gare du Champ de Mars – Tour Eiffel is not a good option either as you will arrive next to the Eiffel tower and need to crick your neck in order to see the whole tower. There are way better spots to enjoy the view over Paris, free of charge and including the Eiffel tower in the panorama.
Best instagrammable spots in Paris: Roof of Galerie La Fayette
As your trip will probably include a visit of Galerie La Fayette, the most famous shopping centre of Paris, anyways, don’t miss to go all the way up to the roof (free of charge). I recommend choosing the time before the sun set in order to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of the golden hour. You will be rewarded not only by a view of the Eiffel tower but also the Ferris Wheel of Place de la Concorde or l’Institut de France, just to name few.
How to get there:
Metro 7 or 9 to Chaussée d’Antin – La Fayette, Bus 42 to Chaussée d’Antin
Address: 40 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009 Paris
Best instagrammable spots in Paris: Roof of Shopping Center Printemps.
Next one in the list of the best instagrammable spots in Paris offers a similar possibility and is located at the glamorous Shopping Center Printemps, right next to Galerie La Fayette. You can even enjoy your morning café avec croissant on the little café with tables inside and outside on top of the shopping centre (even if it is not the prettiest café and a bit overpriced). Also, the sunset is a great time to be there.
How to get there:
Metro 3 or 9 to Havre-Caumartin, Bus 20, 21, 27, 29 to Havre-Hausmann
Address: 64 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009 Paris
Best instagrammable spots in Paris: Pont de Bir-Hakeim
All the bridges along Seine river in the west of the Eiffel Tower offer a pretty view of the most famous sight of Paris. A close and pretty perspective is given from Pont de Bir-Hakeim which is located just few hundred meters in the west of the Eiffel tower.
How to get there:
Metro 6 to Passy or Bir Hakeim, Bus 72 to Pont de Bir-Hakeim
Best instagrammable spots in Paris: Pont de Grenelle
Or just stroll along the western bank of the Seine for example from the shopping centre Beaugrenelle (Metro Charles Michel) and enjoy the view of the tower all the way. From the middle of Pont de Grenelle, the next bridge after Pot de Bir-Hakeim, you’ll have an interesting view on both sides. On the one hand side, there is the Eiffel Tower. On the other hand-side the French statue of liberty, a quarter-scale replica which was given to Paris by the American community in 1889 in commemoration of the French Revolution, after France gave the Statue of Liberty to USA in 1886.
How to get there:
Metro 10 to Charles Michel, Bus 70 to Pont de Grenelle – Place de Fernand Forest
Best instagrammable spots in Paris: Rue Saint-Dominique
This street offers a more hidden view of the tower. It is less spectacular than the others but definitely worth to pass. You can enjoy the view of the full tower from a very Frenchy street of nice facade buildings, typical brasseries and cafés. Go there to soak up the Parisian atmosphere at its best.
How to get there:
Metro 8 to La Tour-Maubourg or Metro 8 or 13 to Invalides, Bus 69 to Bosquet – Saint-Dominique
Best instagrammable spots in Paris: Rue Benjamin Franklin
Instead of joining the crowds at Trocadero, hinge on Rue Benjamin Franklin 23, just a few meters away. From there you’ll have the full view of the Eiffel Tower all for yourself. If you are lucky the gate to the parking 23 Rue Benjamin Franklin is open and you can catch a unique front-row view.
How to get there:
23 Rue Benjamin Franklin, 75116 Paris, France
Metro 6 or 9 to Trocadero, Bus 22, 32, N53 to Scheffer
Best instagrammable spots in Paris: Trocadero AT NIGHT
The good news is that this postcard view at the Eiffel Tower and Champs de Mars, it exists in fact. The bad news is that Trocadero is super crowded at every time of the day, as it offers the straight and people say the best view of the tower. That’s why I don’t recommend going there in the day. A better idea is going there on a warm summer night with your friends and a bottle of wine and enjoy the view of the illuminated Eiffel Tower. There will be at least fewer people than in the day.
How to get there:
Metro 6 or 9 to Trocadero, Bus 63 to Georges Mandel
