First things first: I didn\u2019t try all the restaurants of Zakynthos, but we found quite some lovely places and had amazing food almost every day of our stay there. From romantic restaurants tucked in flower gardens to places with amazing sea view and delicious seafood. In this article, I\u2019ll show you all these places, our best restaurants in Zakynthos.<\/span><\/p>\n

Best restaurants in Zakynthos: El sue\u00f1<\/em>o<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

This is my absolute favourite restaurant<\/strong> and a little insider tip<\/strong> as well. El sue<\/span>\u00f1<\/em><\/span>o restaurant is located in the North-East and offers very delicious, high-quality food<\/strong>. Seafood, but also steak and typical Greek dishes. The restaurant has a huge round terrace and no matter where you sit you have an amazing view<\/strong>, look yourself:<\/span><\/p>\n

Another plus of this restaurant: Not only the view is lovely, but also the owners<\/strong>. On our first day, we were looking for a restaurant for breakfast, but it seemed like none of the restaurants close-by were even open. Nor was El sue\u00f1<\/em>o. But the owners were there already and offered us coffee and greek yoghurt for breakfast, which was the best yoghurt we had during our stay in Greece.<\/span><\/p>\n

But this was not even it. The highlight of this restaurant<\/strong> is still to come: the little sun terrace<\/strong>. When you eat at this restaurant you can use their little sun terrace for free. How amazing is that?! And we were all alone there (that\u2019s why I think this place is still an insider tip):<\/span><\/p>\n

The owners built these wonderful stairs in order to be able to access the water. And look at this turquoise water <3. It is not photoshopped but exactly this turquoise and this clear. There is even a little cave which makes snorkelling very fun there.<\/span><\/p>\n

This one is a bit off-the-path but it is so worth it to come here<\/strong>. I\u2019m not trying to convince you with words, I\u2019ll just show you the view:<\/span><\/p>\n

Amazing, isn\u2019t it?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Keri lighthouse restaurant offers a lot of seafood and it was delicious<\/strong>. Also this place was not really crowded and I don\u2019t understand why. But just to be sure you will have a table, you should call ahead for a reservation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Best restaurants in Zakynthos: Kosta’s brothers tavern<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

This one is the most lovely one. The restaurant is tucked in a very beautiful flower garden<\/strong> which was created with a lot of love and talent. See yourself:<\/span><\/p>\n

Here I ate fish and my boyfriend steak. And also here the food (and the wine) was very delicious and the owners, two brothers, very nice and caring. <\/span><\/p>\n

Tip: go there for dinner.<\/strong> As soon as it is a bit dark, candles will be lighted in the whole garden and it is even more romantic and feels very private there. Tables are not too close next to each other and the atmosphere is just lovely.<\/span><\/p>\n

Best restaurants in Zakynthos:<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Aeras taverna<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

This restaurant just has an amazing view,<\/strong> look yourself:<\/p>\n

It is overlooking Porto Vromi, the bay from where all the boats to famous Navagio beach (shipwreck beach) depart. It is located just at the street which leads you down to Porto Vromit.<\/p>\n

The food, nor the service were really outstanding, but the view just beats everything.<\/p>\n

Best restaurants in Zakynthos:<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Niko\u2019s by the sea<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

This restaurant has a lovely location and interior. It is located high in the cliffs and offers a pretty view of the surrounding, the turquoise water and of Makris Gialos beach. It is also great for a coffee.<\/span><\/p>\n

Best restaurants in Zakynthos:<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Klontikari<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

This place is located close to Niko\u2019s and is a traditional Greek restaurant<\/strong> with a great view (like all restaurants in the cliffs of the North-East coast). <\/span><\/p>\n

The reason why I mention it in my list of the best restaurants in Zakynthos is, that we had amazing Pita gyros<\/strong> there. Pita gyros is special bread, a bit like kebap bread, stuffed with gyros, fries, salad, tomato and tzatziki. So delicious – I promise!<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span> This restaurant is open till late and makes a midnight snack (such as pita gyros) possible. Yummy!<\/span><\/p>\n

Best restaurants in Zakynthos: <\/span>Porto Azorro Beach Bar<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Porto Zorro is a picturesque beach which some cliffs tucked in the water<\/strong>. It hosts a beach bar which feels more like a little beach club to me. They offer sun loungers but is also a restaurant \/ bar \/ caf\u00e9 with good chill out music and a very relaxed atmosphere<\/strong>. Everything is really stylish<\/strong> and kept in white, still, it feels not posh. For me, this place offers the perfect balance between comfort, style and posh.<\/span><\/p>\n

Best restaurants in Zakynthos: To Nisi<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This is a very cosy, relaxed one<\/strong> with a variety of delicious Greek and seafood. And amazing chocolate crepe – yummi! It is located at the promenade of Agios Nicolaos and invites for a stroll along the beach after dinner.<\/p>\n

This was my list of the best restaurants in Zakynthos. It covers various tastes and directions of the islands. I hope it inspires you to try one or the other. As I said, I was in all of them, and the food was delicious every single time – that is one of the great advantages in Greece. And you know what: we didn’t even research most of these restaurants, but found them by accident. Either we were just lucky and always found the good spots. Or the quality of restaurants and food on this island is just amazing and of great value for money.<\/p>\n
