Or in spring when we\u2019re desperately seeking for Vitamin D and first sun rays. Rooftop places are always a good pick. Stylish ambience and shopping: Rooftop garden Jard\u00edn Secreto de Salvador Bachillers<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

This hidden gem is located in the centre of Madrid and represents the perfect place for a shopping break. The hidden garden Jardin Secreto de Salvador Bachillers<\/b> is very close to Gran Via metro station and is my absolute favourite, as it is a green calm oasis within the busy centre of Madrid. <\/span><\/p>\n

But this wonderful place has way more to offer. There is another terrace on the 3rd floor and a restaurant on the 2nd floor – also in green and calm atmosphere. Originally this place is a shop with many many beautiful things to buy, like beach accessories, decoration for your home or plants. If you are looking for good quality souvenirs or presents, this is the place to go!<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are in the district La Latina makes sure to pass by at the beautiful terrace of El Viajero on the 4th floor on top of the building. Relaxed atmosphere, shabby chic interior, good lunch, (not the best service though), and a green surrounding characterize this place. <\/span><\/p>\n

A real insider tip which almost nobody knows is the rooftop terrace of \u201eThe Hat Hostel\u201c Madrid. Even if you are not living in this hostel, which is super stylish and a bit downgraded by the name \u201ehostel\u201c, you can just drop by and enjoy a drink or coffee there. Close to Plaza Mayor is represents a welcoming get-away for your busy sightseeing tour. <\/span><\/p>\n

A bit upper class and super stylish is the roof of Mercado de San Anton. The modern market hall is a real food heaven on various floors. You can buy fresh fruits and other ingredients on the ground floor and eat your way up through the second and third floor where all different kinds of tapas, desserts and wines are offered. On the roof which is equipped with stylish furniture, a bar, a restaurant and many plants you can easily spend a whole Sunday afternoon with friends or have dinner and some drinks at night as the market is open till 12 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

But you\u2019ll definitely have the most stunning view here as you can see \u201eEl Metropolis\u201c, THE landmark of Madrid by night. A small fee of 4 Euros brings you up to the roof and you can either have dinner in the restaurant, have a sundowner at the bar area or some long drinks with friends in the comfortable lounge area which is located on a little plateau to ensure the best view with a grass carpet and comfortable chairs to chill. Especially at sunset or night time on warm summer nights, it is a great place to be.<\/span><\/p>\n
