Instagrammable places in Milan

Milan is a very pretty Italian city and of course shopping and fashion capital. Therefore it offers plenty of photography potential. In this blog post, I’ll show you the best instagrammable places in Milan.

Duomo di Milano

It’s no surprise that this is the TOP spot in Milano and the dome truly is stunning. But that’s also the reason why the dome and especially the square in front is extremely crowded all the long all year round. But with some tricks, you can still get a great picture. Either come very early in the morning when most people are still sleeping. Or use a different angle and try to exclude the crowds from your picture. Either by letting the camera looking up so that your body covers most of the crowds. Or by a portrait shot which only shows you and the dome – and not the crowds.

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

When you’re in Milan, you have to go to this luxury shopping mall. It is the most impressing mall I personally have ever seen and no gallery in Paris or the shopping hallway of Marina Bay Sands in Singapore can keep up with it. Therefore this gallery is also very crowded all day long and all year round.

Brera (especially during Design week)

Instagrammable places in Milan: Brera

Brera is THE design and shopping district of Milan and also a must-go place when visiting the fashion capital of Milan. I was so lucky and could visit Milan during Design week. At that time of the year there are small exhibitions and pop-up stores in the whole Brera district but also other areas of Milan and after every corner and in every backyard will be a surprise waiting for you. The design week is not only about fashion design, but also furniture, architecture, kitchens, fabrics and so much more. Plan at least 1 or 2 afternoons during Design week to stroll through Brera
